Jessie Fahey is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of diverse nursing experience. Her experience includes inpatient psychiatry, labor and delivery, and hematology/oncology. Prior to nursing, nearly all of her jobs involved working with children, such as preschool assistant, YMCA summer camp counselor, and English teacher in Costa Rica. She looks forward to working with kids again as a PMHNP.
Her holistic approach to care includes using medication as a tool, breaking old cycles, learning new skills, creative problem-solving, and incorporating mindfulness into daily habits. She recently became a certified Love Your Brain Yoga teacher and is looking forward to bringing meditation, breathing exercises, and chair yoga to those with an acquired brain injury, or who are interested in another tool for their “wellness toolbox.”
Jessie grew up in the greater New Orleans area, but has lived in many other places. Most recently, she enjoyed 4 years in New Mexico. She lives in Richmond with her husband and cat. She enjoys reading, crafting, nature walks, the occasional flatwater paddle, and travelling.
Jessie received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Loyola University New Orleans, Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama, and a Master of Science in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University. She is accepting new patients of all ages.
